Nominations for the branch committee posts for 2022 are now open and any member interested in volunteering for a post should contact the branch urgently to request a nomination form.
Nominations will close at 5pm on 11 February 2022.
We are actively seeking candidates for the posts of Chair, Vice-chair, Treasurer, Education Coordinator, LGBT+ Officer, Welfare Officer, Equalities Coordinator and Communications Officer, although some of the officers in those posts may still decide to continue in them to support the branch.
And there is always the possibility of sharing the post with someone else if you do not feel you have the capacity, confidence or time to undertake a role on your own. The only roles that are not open to job sharing are the Chair, Treasurer and Branch Secretary roles.
If any candidate is prepared to consider the Treasurer role, I (branch secretary) undertake to support you in that role (as I carried out the role earlier in 2021) and am happy to mentor anyone new to the role.
