New UNISON Stewards Attend Lost in UNISON course prior to Heart UNISON Week

Lost in UNISON Heart UNISON

On Saturday 6th February a number of new UNISON Activists attended a CVO Branch “Lost in UNISON” course form a diverse range of organisations.

This was a great day for the Branch officers to see so many keen and inspiring new activists keen to make a difference in their workplaces for the benefit of UNISON members.

The course was a brief overview of what being active in UNISON involves and what can be achieved. Jo Galloway and Paul Coles introduced issues including the structure of UNISON and the CVO Branch, Representing Members, Common issues, Legal Rights, Recruiting and Organising in the workplace.

The feedback was that all enjoyed the course. Three of the attendees were already UNISON Stewards or Health and Safety Reps and the other three decided to become one after the course.

If you are interested in finding out more about getting more involved in the union or attending a future “Lost in UNISON” course please email the branch; info@unisoncvob.org.uk
