- Dealing with mental health issues
- Legal obligations of employers
- Organising to improve mental health at work
Mental Health First Aid
UNISON’s Learning and Organising team will be offering Mental Health First Aid training from October this year. The course will be open to experienced reps who have already completed UNISON’s or the TUC’s Mental Health At Work course. The new course trains participants to spot the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues. They will then be able to provide non-judgemental support and reassurance and guide a person to seek professional help and support as well as promoting health and wellbeing in their workplace, family and communities.
To apply for either of these courses contact Jim Lewis UNISON Education Officer j.lewis@unison.co.uk |
