Young Members

Young Member

If you are aged under 27 you can get involved with UNISON young members’ activities.

UNISON has around 63,000 young members. If you are a UNISON member and under 27 years of age you are automatically entitled to participate as a young member. Why not get involved and help us campaign for the issues affecting young workers.

Our young members group works to encourage recruitment, organisation and participation of young workers. The group also provides a powerful voice for young members and the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge.

London Young Members Forum

The aim of the forum is to share best practice on recruiting and organising young members in the region and to run young members campaigns. All young members in the region can attend the monthly meetings.

UNISON National Young Members Weekend

UNISON holds an annual young members weekend. The weekend provides an opportunity to meet with over 100 other young members from across the UK, and learn and develop key organising skills. The weekend focuses on key issues affecting young workers. The London Region can send 10 members aged under 27 to attend the Young members weekend
