It is with Great sadness that we write to let you know of the passing of our colleague and friend Brian Woolgar, Branch Development Organiser. Brian passed away on Saturday the 3rd August 2019. Many of you will know Brian as he has been working in the Branch for 18 years and has dealt with thousands of cases and supported, mentored and coached dozens of reps during this time.
Some of you will know that Brian has been struggling with his health for a number of years and unfortunately this deteriorated greatly after the last couple of months.
Brian will be sorely missed by us in the branch and many of our Stewards, members and some of our members employers.
Brian was nobody’s fool and never shied away from a battle for the good of our members. His dry humour combined with his disdain for wrongdoing made him a formidable representative and a great colleague.
